Art Classes for Children

 

Southend Youth Arts is proud to offer two amazing art classes for children. Held at Lawrence Matthew’s Art Shop in Southend, and let by graduate artist Claire Bartlett, these classes are perfect for young beginners and those who want to take their art more seriously.

SENIOR DRAMA PREPARES FOR SHAKESPEARE ‘TRIPLE BILL’
SYA’s Senior Drama group is currently in rehearsals for its upcoming production—a triple bill of ‘Macbeth’, ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ and ‘Love’s Labour’s Lost’.

Tickets will be available after half term.

A Generous Donation!

Southend Youth Arts would like to say a massive THANK YOU to the generous people at the Royal Bank of Scotland credit card centre in Leigh. Their Staff (payroll giving) Charity Fund kindly donated £1,000 to our charity, which has been used to support a fantastic series of masterclass workshops for our Senior Drama group.

In the last term, we have had visitors from Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch and True Edge Stage Combat London; plus special taster sessions on Thriller, Rocky Horror Show, Greek Theatre and much more!

STAGECRAFT AND SKILLS
SYA Juniors are just starting work on a new project enabling young people aged 7-12 can learn performance and stagecraft skills! Compile a folder of work as you explore subjects such as directing, dance choreography, costume design, props-making and much more!
